I love a good chili recipe – it’s one of our favorites when it starts to get cold. I don’t know about you, but I tend to be terrible about crockpot meals. Sometimes I completely forget until late in the day when it’s way too late to start throwing something together! With this instant pot chili, I don’t have to worry until shortly before dinner! It’s such an easy recipe and is one of our favorites!
If you don’t have an instant pot yet, you’re really missing out! It makes meals so quick and easy. This chili recipe is as simple as browning the turkey, throwing in the ingredients, and cooking it in the instant pot. But be sure to follow the full recipe to ensure perfection.

Ingredients for instant pot chili
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 green pepper diced
- 1 onion diced
- 16 ounces canned tomatoes
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 16 ounces canned kidney beans drained
- 5 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
Toppings
- cheese shredded
- onion chopped
- green onion chopped
Directions for instant pot chili
Gather all of your ingredients to make cooking in the kitchen TONS easier!
Brown the ground turkey in a skillet, drain, and add to instant pot.
Add the green pepper, onion, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, chili powder, and cayenne pepper to instant pot and stir well.
Add water and mix well and then seal the lid and set the timer to Chili/Beans for 30 minutes. Once finished, release to the pressure valve. Serve with preferred toppings such as onion, cheese, and green onion. Enjoy!
