I wanted to ask about your thoughts on the Junior Notebook for the Apologia Chem/Physics curriculum for elementary students. I am living in China and not able to look through one of the books online. One mom friend said they’ve done other Apologia notebooks but it was a lot of busy work (puzzles, crosswords, word search) and her children didn’t really like that much. I was hoping for something like a lab book for the students to record their observations and answer specific questions about the experiments and “Try This” sections from the text book. I was thinking about just having us do our own lab books using a blank book and I just give the children the format for what should go in them. Any thoughts on that would be helpful.
Hi Laurel – From what you described that you would like to do with your kids, it might be best for you to just get a blank notebook and have your kids record their findings and answers in that.
The Junior Notebooking Journals do have a place to record experiment information, but that’s just a small part of the notebook.
For each lesson, the Junior notebook has 2-3 lined pages for taking notes or doing narration (these pages also have some blank spaces for drawing pictures); crossword puzzle or word search; 2 scripture copywork pages (one manuscript and one cursive); 2 coloring pages; a minibook to put together and adhere to the notebook (think lapbook component); a page with additional activities, projects, or experiments you can try; 2-3 pages to record info about your experiments (but they are very basic – just a place to write “what I did” and “what I learned”); plus some varying pages depending on the lesson – such as vocabulary activities and/or pages to complete the notebooking journal activities mentioned in the book.
I hope that helps you a bit. I’d be happy to answer any further question you have.
Hi, I wasn’t sure where to contact you at–I clicked on the link to email you and it pulled open a blank internet page with the email address (%[email protected]) in the search bar. That didn’t look right, so I decided to message here. Regarding your current contest, the link to subscribe to LJSKool is broken. Also, I tried entering the email address with which I had subscribed to Dr. F Dean Hackett, however, I only got the first few letters out of my email when I accidentally clicked “enter”. Do you know how I can fix this to make sure I am not disqualified?
Hi Heather – Thanks for letting me know about the broken link. I will take note of what you said about subscribing to Dr. F Dean Hackett in case you win.
Hi Sara You said you have never had a file not sent, wellllll there is always a first and maybe this is the first. The file I requested is “FREE Transportation Theme Printable for Counting to 10”. As of right now I have not recieved anything.
I’m not sure what you are referring to, but I don’t have a printable available on my site that is a FREE Transportation Theme Printable for Counting to 10, nor have I ever.

I really enjoy your website and would like to print the Math facts help for multiplication and division. For some reason the link is no longer there and I can’t figure out how to print. My son has a tough time with math and it seems your information would be very helpful.
Hi! I’m interested in 2018 Bible copy work calendar but cannot, for the life of me, figure out how/where to get the download. I keep clicking on February and it’s taking me on wild goose chase from page to page, with nothing that is a download available. Help! Thanks!
Hi Sarah, I wondered if your scripture copywork by month was still available as a free download. I have Novembers from last year and wanted to go back and print out the rest of the year. However, I can’t find links anywhere to do it. Also, as I click the few I found for other products (like the calendar) it either takes me to a random page or your home page. Thanks for your help! Michele
Thank you Sarah for the well organized home school planner and agenda from 2018-2019. This has been such a blessing to my household. We are able to track our progress, teach important organizational skills, and accountability. Again, thank you so much for creating this.
Hello again Sarah 🙂 NATIVITY STORY PUPPET CRAFT is going to come in super handy this Christmas as we have family coming over and needed some fun activities to keep all the kids busy and entertained.
Hi Sarah! I purchased this Character Copy Work Book but I can’t figure out how to access it. How do I download it? Please get back with me soon I would love to get my kids started on this.
I purchased the editable coupon book for Christmas through PayPal and never received a download link or email. And it is impossible to contact Sarah. Very disappointing.
You should have received an email with the download link; please check your junk mail. If you still don’t see it, please send an email to [email protected] – my contact info is linked on this very page above.
My records show that you downloaded the file; were you able to access it after all?
