One of my children’s favorite Christmas activities is deciding what gifts they want.
Many kids like to make their own wish lists each year, once they are old enough to write. This list contains all the presents they hope to get from Santa Claus as well as family and friends. Even if they aren’t writing yet, they can still tell an older child or adult what they want to make the list.
This craft for kids puts a spin on the traditional Christmas gift list. Instead of a paper and pen, you can create a list that look like a REAL gift! It even opens and closes so your kids can hand it off to you or Santa without everyone seeing it.
It doesn’t take much to put this craft together either. You probably already have all the materials in your arts and craft supply. Being easy and fun are the BEST Christmas crafts for kids!

Supplies
- Template
- White, red and green cardstock
- Green and Red markers
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Instructions
First print the template on white cardstock.
Then cut out all the pieces.
Take the two large rectangle templates and trace around them on the green cardstock. And take the template pieces for the bow (two triangles, circle and two skewed rectangles) and trace around them on red cardstock. You can also color these pieces instead.
To assemble the bow, glue the two triangles to the backside of the circle. Add on the two skewed rectangles to the back of the circle going downward to complete the bow.
Next, glue the long white rectangles to the present to act as ribbon. Add the bow to the top.
Now you can glue both ends of the present to the long white rectangle. Then fold back the top present piece and crease. Bring the present back to the front and match it up with the bottom present piece and crease again.
Finally, write in the gift list ideas in the center and the Present Gift List is complete.
