It’s always difficult to come up with a really unique Valentine gift idea, but this one is perfect — for kids or adults! Just about anyone would love this festive little Valentine’s Day treat!
This recipe has such a wow factor, yet it’s SO ridiculously simple and takes less than 30 minutes to make.
Kids can help out with making this recipe, but they’ll definitely need some parental supervision depending on how you choose to melt the chocolate. (Use the microwave for a safer, more kid-friendly option. Or use the stovetop, if you prefer.)
You could even make these in bulk to have a bunch to give as gifts. It’s that easy!! If you want to dress the gift up slightly, just wrap it up and place it in a cute mug. Feel free to add extra marshmallows or a stir stick for extra Valentine’s Day fun!
Heart Hot Chocolate Bomb Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of white chocolate
- Red gel food coloring
- 1 cup of hot chocolate mix
- 1 cup of mini marshmallows
- Heart mold
Directions:
First, you’ll need to make the red hearts! To do this, melt the white chocolate and then mix in red food coloring. Gently scoop the chocolate into the molds, scooping the chocolate up the side. You should be able to just do one layer.
Put the molds into the freezer for 5 minutes. Gently pop the chocolates out of the molds and even out the edges by placing them on a warm pan.
Fill one side with hot chocolate mix and mini marshmallows.
Using the warm pan again, even out one of the hearts and place it on the one that has the hot chocolate and marshmallows. The molds should adhere to each other easily due to the melted chocolate.
Let set for 10 more minutes in the fridge. Voila! Your Heart Hot Chocolate Bomb is finished!
When you are ready to use it, simply place the Hot Chocolate Bomb in a warm cup of milk and watch the magic happen!
That’s it! It’s really that easy! Once you have the hot chocolate bomb ready, there are many ways to give it as a gift. If it’s an adult, maybe place it in a cute mug. You could also add extra marshmallows and an edible stir stick in the mug. If you really want to get creative, you could even decorate the mug yourself instead of buying a pre-made mug.
I love how simple this Hot Chocolate Bomb Recipe is, because it makes such a lovely gift to give to others! Happy Valentine’s Day!
