Growing up, Thanksgiving was a one-day event in my house. It was a time to gather with family around an overflowing table and count our blessings. We still gather around a table of abundance on Thanksgiving Day, but the gathering of blessings starts November 1st. We try to count our blessings all year long and then gather them up into a picture of God’s goodness and provision.
Thanksgiving is such a beautiful transition into Christmas. After reflecting on what God has done for us over the past year, we then switch our focus to what He has done for us eternally through the birth of a special baby. Homeschooling offers us the luxury of extra time to concentrate on this meaningful time of year.
I’ve collected several ways to record gratitude and make some wonderful new Thanksgiving traditions:
Count your blessings with one of several Gratitude Journals.
Fill out one leaf a day to make a colorful Thankful Banner.
Serve up some gratitude with these November Table Topics.
God’s Supply Chain will show how God provides EVERYTHING.
Write about the Gift of Gratitude with these journal prompts.
Use God’s word to focus on gratitude with A Week of Thanksgiving.
Make a Give Thanks Paper Quilt that you can display all year ’round.
Print and fold a pretty Gratitude Garland.
String together a Thankful Paper Chain.
Send a Thankful Letter to someone you love.
Write your prayers on a Hand Turkey.
How do you help your family develop an attitude of gratitude?

I am trying not to think about Thanksgiving this year because my workplace will be open, and I will probably have to work 🙁 This is a great post though!
