This no cook playdough recipe is super easy to prepare, the kids can do it themselves! Toss in a few cookie cutters and sprinkles to add to the fun.
Playdough is all the rage for young children. They love being able to squeeze and mold it into fun creatures and imaginative shapes.
This may be the simplest no-cook playdough recipe I have ever shared. And we have done plenty of different kinds: apple playdough, pumpkin playdough, shaving cream playdough, just to name a few. But homemade pudding playdough is new to us, and my kids had a great time making it themselves!
No-Cook Playdough Recipe Using Pudding
Supplies:
- ¼ cup vanilla flavored instant pudding mix (note: I purchased the 3.4 oz. box, you will have some left over for another batch if you’d like)
- 1 cup corn starch
- ⅓ cup warm water
- Mixing bowl
- Mixing spoon
- Plastic mat
- Candy Sprinkles
- Cookie cutters
Directions:
Add the pudding mix and half of the cornstarch into a mixing bowl. Pour in the water.
Mix well until a dough starts to form.
Add in the other half of the corn starch. Continue to mix well.
Finish by kneading the dough with your hands until you get the desired consistency. The dough should feel soft to the touch when you start mixing and should not be sticky. If your dough is sticky, add more corn starch.
Place the dough on a plastic mat for play time!
Add the candy sprinkles to the dough.
Use cookie cutters and free printable playdough mats for even more fun!
