This game day guacamole recipe is the perfect food to eat before, during, and after kickoff!
It’s no surprise that football parties offer the most amazing food. And let me tell you, this game day guacamole doesn’t disappoint. Super simple to make, but packed full of unbelievable flavor, this guacamole dip is certain to be a hit with the crowd. It would be a great addition to a football charcuterie board. If you want to add more dips to your board, consider a smoked crab dip.
The best part? It’s absolutely, without a doubt, one of the easiest options for a guacamole recipe that you’ll find. From start to finish, it’ll be finished before you even realize it.
My football party tip for this dip? Make this a few hours beforehand to let it chill. A cool guacamole dip tastes amazing with corn or flour tortilla chips, veggies, or even as a scoop on a salad. While everyone else at the get together may concentrate on meats, you’ll be certain to wow the crowd with this game day guacamole.
Think about making and taking a double batch, because it’s seriously that good!
Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients:
4 avocados
1 cup tomatoes
¼ cup red onion
¼ cup white onion
½ of a jalapeno
2 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp cilantro
½ tbsp salt
½ cup sour cream
1 cup refried beans
Directions:
Cut avocados in half, remove the seed and use a spoon to scoop it out. (Or use an avocado slicer!)
Mash avocados with a whisk (thickness is your preference).
Rough dice the tomato and onion. Add them to the avocado mix.
Cut the jalapeno in half and remove the seeds. Finely dice and add to the guacamole mix. (This recipe can be made with more or less jalapeno to your liking!)
Add salt, freshly squeezed lime juice and cilantro.
Mix thoroughly and spread into an oval serving or casserole dish.
Place sour cream in a ziploc baggie and cut a very small hole in the corner. Squirt over the guacamole to make football field lines. Save a bit of sour cream for the final step.
Put the beans into a second ziploc bag cutting the corner again. Squirt over guacamole in the shape of football. Fill in the football shape.
To make smooth, use the back of a spoon to smooth over.
Using the remaining sour cream, draw the lines of the football.
Serve with Chips and Enjoy!
