Looking for some fun birthday slime to celebrate your child’s big day? We gave a simple recipe that will entertain your little one and their friends.
April is filled with birthdays in our family. My oldest daughter, husband, sister, niece, father-in-law, aunt, and I all celebrate turning a year older this month. Thinking about the festivities brought us to making yet another kind of slime: Birthday Slime!
{Make sure you check out all of our slime recipes – we have a ton for holidays or just fun themes!}
Slime like this is so easy to make and you can customize it to the person you are making it for. You can choose your child’s favorite color as well as confetti or glitter that matches their interests and personality. This would make a very fun birthday party activity.
You can even use slime in your homeschool activities!
Birthday Slime
Supplies:
- 1 6oz bottle Elmer’s Clear Glue
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup warm water, as needed
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup Liquid Starch, as needed
- Birthday-themed confetti (We used this Peppa Pig confetti and just removed the Peppa sequins)
- Fine blue glitter (or any color that matches your sequins)
Directions:
Pour the clear glue into a medium-sized bowl.
Sprinkle in the fine glitter.
Pour in the 1/4 cup warm water.
Use a fork to stir the ingredients together
Add 2-3 Tablespoons of Liquid Starch and stir well for 2 minutes.
Test the slime and add more water if too stiff, more Liquid Starch if too sticky.
Continue stirring until the slime forms into a ball, then knead for 2 minutes, adding more water or liquid starch, as needed.
Once the slime is stretchy and no longer sticky, knead in the birthday-themed sequins/glitter.
Have fun stretching and playing with your birthday slime!
This slime can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week after making. Get some small containers for your party guests to take them home if you give slime as party favors or have them make it during the celebration!
