As Christians, we all know how important it is to get into God’s Word on a daily basis. We need our daily bread and we need to be continually growing our relationship with the Lord. Reading the Bible is one way we do that.
However, that can be hard to do when you have kids. Even if you have a good schedule or routine in place, kids can be unpredictable, throwing off your well-laid plans.
When reading through the Bible, many of us Christians will follow a Bible Reading Plan. There are so many different plans out there to choose from! Some of the most popular ones are the Read-the-Bible-in-a-Year plans. I would love to read my whole Bible in a year! And I have tried several times, only to fail miserably, making me feel so defeated.
I’ve come to realize, and accept, that as a busy homeschooling mom of 8 (and moms are busy no matter how many children you have), it’s just not the season for me to read my Bible in a year. Those plans have you reading 3, 4, and even 5+ chapters of the Bible a day!! That’s just not doable for me on most days. If I read one chapter, I count it a victory and a blessing!
So…. since I’m a check-off-the-boxes kind of girl, I made up my own Bible reading plan that is especially for busy moms. This plan simply has you reading one chapter of the Bible each day. This means you can take more time to focus on and soak in what you are reading instead of speed-reading to get in all of the chapters for that day before being interrupted by a child bursting into your quiet time. We can do that, right moms?!
This printable plan is broken down into 6 pages, which includes 5 ‘bookmarks’ that you can cut out and use to keep your place (print them on cardstock for better durability). Each bookmark has up to 55 Bible chapters listed, each with a handy little check box to mark your completion. Once you’re finished with one bookmark, move onto the next. You can also jump around and read the books of the Bible in any order you wish.

I have had 2 opportunities so far in my I life to read the Bible from cover to cover: During my 3-month recovery from my car accident in 1990 (age 20) and while using my (mostly) hands free breast-milk pump with my 2nd baby (2008). With so much going on now, I’ve not been very consistent in reading the Bible, and definitely need to be more intentional! Thank you for sponsoring this giveaway!

I lost my mother in 2005. I still miss and love her!
I love that God has a commandment about honoring our mothers and fathers! My mom had MS and I pray that I was a help and blessing for her! I love the Bible! There are so many verses
that are positive and uplifting! They helped me get over my mom’s and my 2 brothers who died in February- just days apart from each other! Thank you, Jesus!!

I like that you have the printable to help keep yourself on track. I also like to check off boxes to help me stay on track with my goals. Having an actual plan to read is helpful in itself. I like to put especially meaningful verses on notecards to help me keep them in mind. Sorry if I reposted, not sure if my previous posts went through.
