I like to incorporate the use of electronics into our homeschooling to give my kids some variety in their learning, plus they enjoy it and think it’s a fun way to learn. We mostly do this through the use of computers and iPads. We use the computer for our math curriculum as well as some supplemental learning programs and we use our iPads to supplement with a variety of educational apps. Between 7 children, our iPads can really take a beating. And since they aren’t cheap, we try to protect them at all costs. We are currently using and reviewing the KRAKEN A.M.S. CASE FOR APPLE IPAD 2/3/4 from Trident Case.
The Kraken A.M.S. iPad case can be used by all ages and will appeal to many through the variety of colors it is available in. It comes in black, blue, pink, red, Trident green, purple, orange, and maroon.
It is compatible with the New iPad, the iPad 2, the iPad 3, and the iPad 4.
The Kraken A.M.S. case is the strongest case that Trident makes. It has a shock-absorbing silicone inner layer, and a hardened polycarbonate outer covering, thick impact-resistant silicone corners, plus a built-in screen protector. All of these are very attractive features when considering our 3-year-old twin boys play with the iPads often.

It also protects the device’s power ports, audio-jacks, and speakers with silicone plugs and dust filters, and even meets many military standards.
A couple other positive things to note about this case is that it is eco-friendly – it is made with bio-enhanced plastic that is recyclable, degradable, and compostable; and it is proudly made in the U.S.A.
Even before putting the Kraken A.M.S. case to the test, I had confidence that it would hold up to my kids and pass with flying colors because I already have a Trident case for my phone which I have been very pleased with.
One of our iPads already had a nice crack in the corner (no one is confessing to that one) even though we had a case on it. However, our previous case was nothing like the hardness and durability of the Kraken A.M.S. I was very impressed by the sturdiness and bulk of it.
When it arrived, I gave the case to my husband to put on the iPad (he’s the one who does all the fun electronic stuff in our home) and he quickly and easily put it on. He then handed it over to our 3-year-old twins. They were both very excited because they thought we got a new iPad.
One of the things I did notice about the case that was a bit annoying was that the plugs for the ports and some of the corners wouldn’t stay in place, so I was fixing them often. I also wish it had a built-in stand so that you didn’t have to purchase an extra accessory, as the price of the case is already $69.95. However, overall, I feel that this case is great option for protecting your iPad, especially if little hands will be using it.
