Bookmark craft supplies
For this fun solar system bookmark craft, you’ll need these supplies:
- Colored paper – construction paper or card stock
- Craft sticks
- Glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Printable template
How to make a solar system bookmark
Step 1
Before you get started, make sure to pull out all your supplies so you’re ready to go! Once you’ve done that, pick out your desired colored papers to use for the planets.
Step 2
Start with the sun by choosing yellow and orange papers for the sun.. Trace the base (with the rays) of the sun onto the orange paper. Trace the other patterns (circles) of the sun on yellow paper.
Step 3
Now do the planet Earth. You’ll need blue and green paper for Earth. Trace the base (circle) of Earth on blue paper. Then trace the land patterns for the Earth on green paper.
Step 4
Cut out the pieces you traced.
Step 5
Next, glue the bigger yellow circle pattern of the sun to the center of the orange base.
Step 6
Then, glue the other circle cutout of the sun to the center of the big circle.
Step 7
Glue the green land paper cutouts for the planet Earth onto the round blue base.
Step 8
Glue the sun and planet Earth onto a craft stick to complete the bookmarks.
Step 9
Repeat similar steps from above for the other planets, let dry, grab your favorite book, and you are done!
