Sliced Apple Cupcakes
Makes 12 cupcakes
Ingredients:
- 12 pre-made cupcakes
- 1 to 2 cups vanilla frosting in red (Used Pillsbury Funfetti Frosting in Red)
- 1 to 2 cups vanilla frosting in white (Used Pillsbury Classic White Frosting)
- ½ to 1 cup vanilla frosting in green (Used store-bought canned frosting)
- 6 Tootsie Roll Midgies
- Chocolate chips
Equipment:
- Large open star tip (Wilton 1M Open Star Piping Tip)
- Piping bag
Directions:
1. Start by piping red frosting over cupcakes in a circular direction working from the center of the cupcake towards the outside.
2. Pipe your white frosting into a filled circle at the center of each cupcake.
3. Pipe little bits of green frosting at the top of your cupcakes to form leaves.
4. Place 3 chocolate chips into the white frosting upside down to represent seeds.
5. Split each Tootsie Roll in half. Twist the candy in between your fingers to form a stem.
6. Place a candy stem on the top of each cupcake between your leaves to represent the stem.
