Outer space is a vast and mysterious place. Thankfully, through technology and astronomers, we have been able to learn a lot about the planets, the solar system, and about the universe. How to use the planet printable worksheets
These trace and color planet worksheets are super simple to incorporate into any lesson plan or unit study about outer space or the solar system. The worksheets are a great way to introduce young children to the planets.
With the worksheets, kids will learn what each planet looks like and what the name of each planet is. They will do this by tracing and coloring each planet and tracing and writing the names of the planets. There is one page for each planet, so a total of eight pages.
When your child is finished with all of the worksheets, you can staple them together along the long side and make a little booklet out of it.

Another neat activity you could incorporate with the worksheet is memorizing all of the planets in order. A fun and effective way to do that is by creating a mnemonic device by making up a catchy phrases utilizing the first letter of each planet. Here are some examples:
