I’m a sucker for rice krispie treats. I could seriously eat a whole pan of them. Not something I’m proud of, but it’s totally true.
I’m also a sucker for most things red, white, and blue. I love Americana and patriotic décor, crafts, clothing & accessories…. you name it!
So why not combine two of my loves for the perfect summer time, party time, 4 of July time, or really just anytime treat?!!
Patriotic Rice Krispie Treat Star Pops

- 10 oz. marchmallows
- 3 tblsp. butter
- blue candy melts
- red candy melts
- red sprinkles
- non-stick cooking spray
- lollipop sticks
- star cookie cutter
- parchment paper
Spray a 9×13″ baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. In a large microwave safe bowl, heat your marshmallows and butter on high for about 1-2 minutes. Stop and stir after each minute.
Mix in the rice krispie cereal and scoop into your greased baking pan. Place the baking pan in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Spray your star cookie cutter with non-stick cooking spray, cut out your star shapes, and place them on a piece of parchment paper.
Melt your candy melts in two separate microwave safe bowls on 50% power for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Pour your melted chocolate into two separate decorating bags (or sandwich bags) and cut the tip off of the corner. Place a lollipop stick into the bottom of each star.
Drizzle your melted chocolate over each candy star and top with sprinkles.
These are perfect for a pot luck, party, treat for your kids’ school or sports team. They are so easy to make, but will surely impress your friends and family!
