These Paper Heart Flowers are so cute, and so easy to make! Kids can enjoy making these for Mother’s Day or anytime they want to spread a little joy and kindness.
I don’t know about you, but flowers just radiate love and kindness for me. When one of my children pick a flower for me, it’s such a sweet gesture. These paper heart flowers are very easy to make – and will last forever, unlike those random blossoms your kids like to pick from the yard!
These paper flowers are great for Mother’s Day or just anytime you want to show your appreciation for someone. Teachers would especially love getting these from students. You can easily turn this paper craft into a card — and your kids can leave a sweet note on the inside.
Our Cardboard Tube Flowers and Bubble Paint Flowers are also really fun to make!
You don’t have to go out and buy special supplies for this paper heart craft either. Most families will already have the four materials needed in their arts and crafts stash!
Paper Heart Flowers
Supplies:
- Heart Flower Template
- Colored craft papers
- Craft glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
Instructions:
Step -1:
Select 2 different colored craft papers for the heart flower card. Trace the spiral pattern on a paper and the heart patterns on a different colored craft paper. Cut out the traced patterns nicely.
Step -2:
Grab the heart patterns and fold them into half symmetrically. Start rolling the spiral pattern from the outer edge and roll it all the way to the center of the spiral. Apply glue on the center to attach the rolled part with it.
Step – 3:
Take any 2 half folded heart patterns and glue them side by side to form a full heart pattern. This will form a 3d heart pattern.
Step – 4:
Prepare a piece of paper for the background. I’m using a piece of square blue colored craft paper. Take a 3d heart pattern and stick it on the background paper.
Step – 5:
Place the rest of the 3d hearts together on the background paper to form a flower shape. Keep the pointy ends of the 3d hearts towards the center to form the flower shape.
Step – 6:
Glue the rolled spiral paper in the center of the heart flower pattern.
Step – 7:
You can add another border around the square background paper.
