After teaching 5 kids math, my next two are struggling and it’s not working anymore. I’m currently using a different curriculum and am not happy with it either. I’m desperate to find something that works.
We have used Math Mammoth for 3-5th grades for my daughter and 1st for my son. We enjoy the open and go aspect of the books. My daughter tries to do her lesson on her own.
I got to try the multiplication and division packs a few years ago and realized the way the material was presented really worked well for my youngest.
I used Math Mammoth with my older daughter from grade 1-3 and my current 3rd grader uses it as well. I love the depth of the mental math and word problems. I like that it is broken down in concepts per chapter which makes it easy to customize for each child.
I love teaching math, and I appreciate the thorough methods of Math Mammoth.
Math Mammoth looks like a nice program to get a good power over math for my daughter. Would love to try.
We currently use Math Mammoth for my 6th and 4th grader. I feel it is a great fit for some kids and no so much for others. My oldest son loves Teaching Textbooks as he is more of an online kid but for my other kids in the lower grades they love “paperwork” and this is a perfect program. I go over the lesson with them which takes about 5 minutes and then they are off on their own. I check in with them but don’t need to be on top of them the whole lesson which frees up more time for me to get other things done or work with the littles. I feel the program is very thorough and it is easy to adjust as needed.
I am currently working on my daughter’s multiplication and division skills. My current curriculum seams not helping much. After going through math mammoth, it looks like a must try for kids who want to get succeed in Math.
My kids needs a solid base on Math. This programs looks very useful.
Math Mammoth looks like a nice program to get a good power over math for my daughter. I’dould love to try.
Math Mammoth is very straight forward and is a very good fit to use as a math curriculum for my children. I have used samples and they were great. My children really learned a lot and it made the subject of math a lot easier.
