I am so happy to be a part of the ABC’s of Homeschooling series here on My Joy Filled Life.
I was so excited to be part of this series because I am so passionate about homeschooling, as I am sure you are too. I choose letter L because it immediately makes me think of the words Love and Learn.
I have found what works best for us, and so many others is when the children are loving what they are learning.
Some ideas to get them Loving to Learn
1. If you have a child that loves science and another that loves art why not add that into what you are studying.
2. Instead of sitting at the table to read poetry or a fabulous chapter on American History, snuggle up on the couch. Get a few puzzles out or a discovery basket for the younger children so they can hear you reading while they play.
3. If you prefer to teach using workbooks, but have found they thrive on Unit Studies; add some in to your schooling schedule. Find out what they love and incorporate it into your day.
4. Instead of worrying that your little one isn’t cooperating by sticking to his nap schedule, embrace them learning with you.
5. Love the fact that you are able to spend all of these wonderful moments learning exciting things with your children. If they see that you love to learn with them, that feeling is contagious.
