Experiences you want your kids to have….

…but what usually happens (to me, anyway) is the exact opposite.

• The list of books you actually read is MUCH shorter than what you planned (where’d the time go?)
• Unless scheduled ahead of time, any day trips you wanted to take slip right off your calendar and back onto your list of good intentions
• You discover that the cost of all these “experiences” adds up quickly, and you’re desperate to find something that’s both fun AND free.

Well, here’s some good news!

The good people over at Journey Homeschool Academy put together not just one, but TWO FREE summer courses for families, and ONE FREE course for teens. Your family is sure to enjoy one of them — check out Backyard Bugs or Summer Stargazing or Unlocking the Bible. All you need is a backyard, a Bible, and the videos they’ll send right to your inbox!

Backyard Bugs – starts June 15th

This course if for the whole family! All ages, big and little, will surely learn something new about all the tiny creatures living in your backyard.

After you sign up, and once the course begins, you’ll receive a short video lesson each week, for 8 weeks. Your family will  have the opportunity to learn all sorts of fun things like…

Summer Stargazing – starts June 13th

This is another course that the whole family will enjoy – dads, moms, littles, and bigs will not only learn new things about the night sky, but will also have a blast doing it.

When you sign up, you’ll receive one short video every week, for 8 weeks. Through this course, your family will have the opportunity to…

• Learn step-by-step instructions for finding stars and other lights in the sky
• Learn folklore from around the world about the stars
• Find out what the center of our own galaxy looks like—and how to find it without a telescope
• Explore how ancient Greek heroes used the sky to navigate—and how you can do the same
• Demonstrate how the heavens declare the glory of God (Psalm 19)
• Find out how to get a front row seat to the best meteor shower of the year

Unlocking the Bible – TBD

If you have teens, they are invited to join in on the 8-week summer Bible course, for FREE!
