Supplies needed for Cross Pop-Up Card Craft:
Steps for making a Cross Pop-Up Card:
Step 1:
Cut out the pieces from the template. You can print them in color (a color template is provided), print them on colored cardstock, or print on white cardstock and have your child color them.
Step 2:
Glue the pieces of the sun together, and then glue the pieces of the flowers together. There should be six flowers total.
Step 3:
Chose a color of cardstock that you want the background of your card to be. Fold the cardstock paper in half the long way and then cut along the fold line.
Step 4:
Take one of the pieces you cut from step 3 and fold it in half. Use the “Card Template” pages from the printable template to draw the vertical lines on the closed end of the card according to the template.
Step 5:
Cut along the lines you drew and fold up as shown in the picture below and on the template.
Step 6:
Open the card up.
Step 7:
Push and fold the pop socket inwards and it will create a step.
Step 8:
Glue the green bush on the pop socket.
Step 9:
Glue the sun on the background.
Step 10:
Glue the cross over the bush.
Step 11:
Glue the flowers on the bush.
Step 12:
Write “He Has Risen” on the top of the card, or an Easter message of your choosing.
Step 13:
Select a cover paper (a different color from the one you chose as the background) for your card and cut it so it’s slightly wider than the card. Fold this piece in half.
Step 14:
Open cover piece and glue the card inside it. Glue the strips of grass on the bottom part of the card.
Step 15:
Glue the other flowers on the strips of grass.
I hope this Easter card craft with your kids is a joyful and meaningful experience. Enjoy the fun, laughter, creativity, and simply being together, creating family memories. Maybe crafting together will become a new family tradition.
