The new year always brings a mix of excitement and dread for me. I feel like I need to be ready with all my resolutions RIGHT NOW when Christmas has barely passed me by! I have barely finished singing Joy to the World when my email inbox is packed full of ideas for new year’s resolutions, decluttering challenges and weight loss tips. It just about makes me crazy!
Maybe you feel this way too! We know it’s important to have an opportunity to reboot, but it’s hard to make it happen all at once. To keep ourselves from feeling overwhelmed with all the changes we “should” be making on January 1, let’s reflect on some of God’s scriptural promises for us in the new year! Because no matter how prepared or unprepared we are to purge our our toy rooms, eat better or be a better mom, God’s promises still are the same throughout the years! Here are 12 of my favorite passages.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
