This seems to be the theme for my life right now.
Starting almost exactly a year ago when we found out we were expecting our 7th child.
That wasn’t my plan!
I definitely wanted more children, but my plan was to wait another six months, when we were all moved into our “forever home,” and then we would start trying to get pregnant.
God’s plan was better than mine.
And you know that “forever home” I just mentioned above? Well, we won’t be living here “forever.” A “For Sale” sign just went up in the front yard today, after only living here for 8 months.
That wasn’t my plan!
My plan was to finally settle into a home where we would raise our kids and grow old.
I have faith that God’s plan is better than mine.
Having babies and moving often, really throws a wrench into my homeschool plans. But isn’t that the beauty of homeschooling? The flexibility!
I have learned over the years that it’s okay to skip a grammar lesson, ditch the electives that you don’t have time for, or completely put schooling aside for a short time so you can adjust to the “unplanned.” God will provide our every need, even when it comes to our children’s education; He will fill in any holes or gaps that we might miss.
Life happens, God’s plans happen!
So, when life doesn’t go according to my plan, I have faith and take comfort in knowing that God’s plan is perfect, and He is in control.
