If you are a follower of my blog, you most likely know that we are awaiting a 7th little blessing at Christmas time. The whole family is so excited to be getting an extra special gift this Christmas!
For most women, pregnancy is a joyful and happy time. But along with the wonders of pregnancy, come some not-so-lovely or desirable symptoms.
During some point of pregnancy (usually toward the end), most women will experience some degree of swelling and puffiness. You know what I’m talking about – when those ankles start to disappear (and not because you can’t see them due to a protruding belly) and you can no longer fit into your favorite pair of shoes.
As I progress through the third trimester, I am noticing more and more that I am experiencing my share of swelling. So, when I was contacted by a representative of Preggers by Therafirm and asked to do a review of some of their products, I headed over to their website to see what they were all about.
Preggers by Therafirm™ is a unique line of maternity support hose and compression products developed by future moms for future moms.
What does gradient compression hosiery do?
Support Hose or graduated compression has often been recommended for use during pregnancy to help energize tired, achy legs and to help reduce and prevent swelling. True gradient compression hosiery delivers a controlled amount of pressure greatest at the ankle and gradually decreases towards the top of the stocking promoting better blood flow to help energize tired legs and feet, improve circulation, and assist in the prevention of swelling. They are also ideal for individuals required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
The THERAFIRM® Brand
Want or need more support? THERAFIRM offers a full line of true gradient compression hosiery in mild, moderate and firm support. With experience of making compression hosiery for more than 50 years, we continue to innovate compression garments. While compression stockings have been around for decades, THERAFIRM compression hosiery products are not “your grandma’s compression stockings”. They are made with the most beautiful and comfortable fibers out in the fashion industry today. We use advanced technologies for developing products that are fashionable and comfortable while delivering the health benefits you need. We offer a wide range of advantages including updated shades, sheer yarns and knit pattern texture options, so you can feel good about wearing compression hosiery. Therafirm products are 100% made in the USA in our own manufacturing facilities.
One of the first things I noticed when I went to the Preggers website was their prices; I was pleasantly surprised. I thought for sure that this product that offered such promise would be too pricey for my liking. But, it wasn’t; prices range from $12 to $37. Price is very important to me since I am a stay-at-home mom on a budget.
Then I checked out the products they offer to choose which ones I’d like to try. They currently offer knee high stockings, trouser socks, pantyhose, tights, footless tights, leggings, and maternity bands. I decided to go with a pair of leggings and trouser socks.
Preggers by Thermafirm sent me these products in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
