As I am preparing for our upcoming school year, one of the things on my to-do list is to put together some new busy bags to add to our collection for my 3-year-old twin boys and 20-month-old little guy.
With 7 kids in our family, it’s a necessity to have something to occupy the littlest people so that I can homeschool the bigger kids. So I did what most homeschool moms would do when they are looking for fun ideas; I got on Pinterest. My objective was to find busy bags/activities that focus on colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. And here are the best ones I found:

Phronsie says
Winning would bless our family because, through a string of unfortunate (and unexpected) events, we are decently behind on paying our bills. Which means 1) bills are late and 2) I can’t get some things we need for school. It’s really frustrating.
Darcy Struckmeier says
What a blessing this would be to our family! Thank you all for a great giveaway!
Bonnie Boucek says
Winning this giveaway would be a blessing in a very trimmed year. A lot of the money we use for homeschooling went into helping grandma (my mom) while she was ill and in and out of the hospital during the first half of the year. We’ve had to cut down on many things. This would allow some of those cool things (field trips and kits) to be brought back into the school year.
Carlie @ Today's Frugal Mom says
This would bless us with curriculum that we’ve been unable to afford for our 3 children 😉 Thanks for the opportunity!
Katie Sheasby says
I was hurt at work and we have had no income since December. This money would help pay off some bills and get a few last minute homeschool supplies.
Crystal says
This is awesome thank you!!
Dana Lambert says
Winning would allow me to add some specialized curriculum to our homeschooling that I don’t currently have the extra cash for. I could also purchase those Easels I’ve been wanting for our art lessons, some new art supplies and some extras for science that I’ve been putting off. It would be a real blessing for us to win. 🙂
Teri Carlson says
Winning this gift would bless my family in that we would be $500 closer to being able to go away for part of the harsh winter here! I have a chronic disease that is worse in the cold so we are pinching every cent to see if we can get away for an extended period this winter.
Magda says
Winning this would bless my family by giving us the chance to be more varied in our choice of subjects. Right now, things are so tight we have had to stick to the basics and have struggled even to buy materials for those. My son very much wishes to join a local Christian Children’s Theater, this would more than pay for the fees!
Allie says
This would be a tremendous blessing to us, I am an army veteran, I pray that I could just get rid of my ptsd and anxiety attacks so that I can help pay for my childrens books without worrying about how much it cost, unfortunately that is not the case I get anxiety attacks whenever i’m in a room full of people, I praise the Lord for helping me keep ptsd at bay but there is no way that I can get a job with this. So as a mother who doesn’t want to be laced up on meds and wants to give the best to my children this would be a great blessing to us. Thank you
Jessica says
Winning would bless our family by helping us to be able to purchase more curriculum and supplies. Maybe even a new cabinet to keep it all in!
zekesmom10 says
We need a new laptop. Badly.
Misty Ford says
I am a single mom….I homeschool by day and work as a 911 dispatcher at night. The money could go a long way with supplies, books, fieldtrips, etc
Mel A. says
This giveaway would give our children those extras they would like to have/do for school. Thanks for this opportunity!
Lillian M says
This would be a huge blessing. Most of the curriculum we purchased was used. I’m already seeing some gaps we need to fill and some curriculum that needs to be changed as it’s not working for my daughter.
Ilene says
This would help my family alot thank you for the opportunity! And the info on the busy bags is much appreciated!
Lisa says
We have been having a bit of a difficult time financially lately, so this would be SUCH a blessing to help afford the homeschooling materials we need for our 4 children.
Joy says
To win $500 would bless our family by allowing us to get new tires for my van. All four need to be replaced and now one has a hole in it from a nail. Thanks!
Heather A Nurse's Wildflowers says
Thank you for the giveaway! Love the busy bags and all the wonderful ideas!!!
Sandy says
Summer is usually our financially blessed time (busy time for my dh’s work), but it’s been tight this year. I’d be thrilled to have the resources already in hand to finish preparing for the school year.
Jenn Crawford-Lierman says
This is my 1st year homeschooling my son. Our money is VERY tight right now & if I won the money, I would be able to buy a new printer, stock up on ink, purchase the remainder of books that I want, etc. It would definitely be a blessing.
The Natural Homeschool says
What an exciting giveaway!!!
Terri Baehr says
We would be blessed because I am a stay at home mom to 3 school age girls and we can use all the help we can get.
Trish says
It would bless our family and homeschool tremendously to win such a generous gift. We desperately need a great microscope now that my oldest son is in high school. We also have cut back on art lessons this year and we would be able to pick them back up! Thank you for pulling together a great giveaway that will be a blessing to whoever wins. I LOVE the busy bags! I’ll be sharing this post!

Winning this giveaway would help me to educate my children more efficiently, we could actually go on some trips, do big projects, and purchase some curriculum my children would like to pursue that are out of our price range.

It would bless us by allowing us to catch up on some bills.
Ak Gutierrez says
This will help us with getting our classroom and curriculum ready
Michelle says
This is a wonderful gift for whoever wins the giveaway, I think it’s an amazing thing for you to do. If I were to win, it would allow my family to enrich our child’s education with the amazing science program he’s been salivating over since last year that I unfortunately had to forgo due to my husband losing his job this summer. Thank you for the opportunity to participate!
Melinda C says
It would bless my family by allowing us to get the extra materials that we are unable to afford. This is our first year and we are coming in with limited resources. We could all use a little help, huh? 🙂
Jennifer Dawn says
This would certainly be a blessing. 🙂 Thank you for the giveaway!
AnaMaree says
Winning would bless us by giving us the ability to do some things for her school we cannot do now. I’m thinking some dance lessons and a museum membership.
kim says
Winning would be such a blessing because money is tight since we decided I’d stay home to homeschool. We are unable to purchase all of our planned curriculum due to money restrictions. Thank you for this opportunity!
Molly says
We are missionaries in Africa and we need to buy new homeschooling supplies before our 6th baby comes in a couple months. This is the first year out of 5 years of homeschooling I don’t have funds for school material! Winning this giveaway would enable us to buy what we need for the upcoming school year.
Renata says
This would provide the majority of the funds for the next school year’s curriculum. It would certainly bless our family!
Heather Colton says
It would truly be a blessing! This is our first year and we’ve done really well at getting the curriculum I know the kids will enjoy on a minimum budget. I did settle on a Math Curriculum for my daughter, because we didn’t have a computer for her to do her work on. So with the $500 we’d be able to get a laptop to do schooling on. 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity! and God Bless!
Heather says
This would be a blessing to my family because we would be able to get everything on my “top priority” and “high priority” list
Sally W says
Winning this giveaway would bless my family by helping us pay some unexpected doctor bills. Who would NOT be blessed by an extra $500 in this day and age?
Kirah says
Like everyone else here, $500 would be a huge blessing! This will be my first yr homeschooling … I’m a single mom of 3 and the Lord has pressed it on my heart to keep them home. My kids are pre enrolled to start school where they attended last yr, but instead I’m curriculum planning and trusting He will *continue to* direct and provide! To Him be the glory!
DailyWoman (Lacey) says
This would be such a blessing to our family. We, like most are a one income family with the usual struggles but we also have a special needs child who I usually have to buy separate types of curriculum to fit his learning style. This winning would give me the means to get him what he needs without worry.
Mel says
Winning this giveaway would really bless us with curriculum I would love to use but can’t afford. And also would help with getting curriculum for the co-op I attend.
Mary Morrison says
It would allow us to buy curriculum that is not in our budget this year!
Lyn says
Winning this would mean being able to get a math curriculum geared to my daughter’s type of learning style which I just can not afford right now.
Melissa Bell says
It will give me the freedom to buy the extras that would make our school fun! We really need some wall maps, a booster seat (or two) so they can sit correctly at the table, and a handful of books that they don’t have at our library!
Mary says
I would happily purchase books for my 3 children who are starting homeschooling in 2 weeks!
Sarah says
Winning this would allow for more out of the house learning. We love to travel and camp and experience life out of the classroom. Life learning.
Shanda Tallant says
It would be a blessing for me because my kids both need a computer for their work and I could get them one.
Kim Barton says
Winning this giveaway would be a blessing by providing the funds to buy additional resources to make this year more hands on. Thank you for this wonderful gesture of kindness to homeschooling families.
Erin says
Winning this giveaway will allow us to attend field trips with our homeschool group and buy extras off eBay. We have our basics, now we would love to be able to add the fun extras.
Shannen says
We’ll be able to finish buying the high school curriculum for my oldest, and do a couple updates on our newly purchased home.
Heather D says
We would be blessed in the fact that my husband gets laid off in the winter and all the bills tend to start falling a little behind this would truly be a blessing. Good Luck to everyone.
Rebecca erdman says
Baby #6 was recently born early. We have unexpected medical bills. Having extra paypal $ would be amazing to be able to add on to our school items as needed throughout the year. I haven’t finished getting everything for this year’s school adventure, but will purchase as we can and/or made-do with what we have. What a great giveaway! : )
Terri says
This would be such a blessing to my family. It’s been a year of one thing after another for us and just extremely frustrating over all. Money is tighter than ever and now my bright son is going through curriculum at an alarming rate. I can’t keep up financially 🙁 it would certainly help me not hold him back so he can reach his full potential.
Molly says
We would be able to buy Christmas presents, curriculum for next year, my son’s birthday presents and probably a few more things. Thank you for such an awesome giveaway!
Theres Just One Mommy says
We are a single income family. My husband thought at the beginning I’d go back to work when the kids started school but now we’ve chosen to homeschool. If I could help pay a few bills, or even provide money towards a small vacation (we didn’t take one this summer) that would be awesome. Maybe a trip to the Smoky Mts. for a bunch of hands on learning the kids would remember all year.
Deirdre says
Winning this would help us to get the resources that we have not been able to purchase. I would be thankful to give my DDs all the options available to assist them in their learning.
Amanda Sakovitz says
This would help out with educational materials for the kids and games that we can’t afford to buy.
Frances Herndon says
Financially we are able to afford very little in terms of curriculum. I spend a lot of time putting together lesson plans from books I find at the library combined with free sources I find online. It makes for a lot of sleepless night! I would love to be able to focus some of that time back on my kids. We are unable to get out and do much that requires any sort of extra cost. It calls for a lot of guilt since there’s so much I’d love to do!
Dianna A says
Winning this would help with the bills that have been weighing on us. We had been struggling with a while and have even considered putting the kids in school so that I could work more in order to take care of them. I just can’t do it.
Mandy says
We are newbies… there is so much out there that I can’t possibly buy it all! This would go into the “want to have that for school” fund!
TallulahJane says
We use the computer based so that my son can have a structured routine and can go at his own pace.
TallulahJane says
I would use this to invest in some actual visuals and extra help for the subject he struggles in…math.
This would be a wonderful blessing for us.
Laurie says
Unexpected dental surgery today, no dental insurance and a budget that is being stretched very thin this month has me a bit stressed today. A little extra $$ would be a huge blessing!
Paige L. says
This is our first year homeschooling, so we’re starting from scratch. We have a very long wish list, but we obviously won’t be able to purchase most of the items on it….just the essentials. So winning this giveaway would be a dream come true!
Ruthie says
Wow, this is an amazing giveaway! Winning this would be a HUGE blessing – we would be able to have the funds to put together a well organized and stocked homeschool room! It’s our first year homeschooling, so we are just starting to build our class room. Thank you and all the bloggers who came together to make an amazing giveaway! I know it will be a blessing to whoever wins!
Amy S. says
We have been homeschooling on a shoestring budget for 5 years, it would be great to supplement our learning with some new manipulatives and fresh curriculum.
Katie says
This give away would bless us in helping to pay bills. Thank you.
Sarah says
We are just now diving into the world of home schooling, this year will be preschool and tot school for my two children (while I’m pregnant with #3!) and next year we will be working on moving our oldest up to a K4 or possibly a K program. I’m overwhelmed with the costs, the tremendous amount of choices and the commitment! This would totally bless us and help us get the materials and things we need to get our home schooling journey off the ground!
Sande says
We are a family of six living on a very small income. We raise missionary support for my husband to follow the Lords leading and work at a small Christian school. Anything extra is a huge blessing!
Cathy says
We are one income and have just moved across the country. We always homeschool on a budget, but this year, I’m struggling to find the money to get the materials we need. I have been finding wonderful free resources online but would love to add to these resources with some great materials I’ve discovered along the way. I am sure, though, that there are many families in the same situation, so thank you for having the giveaway, a blessing to the winner. Best to all who have entered.
Melissa says
Thanks for the heads up on this Sarah! Love the busy bags!!
Tara H says
My husband recently had surgery so we have some doctor bills to pay.
J Dennis says
With the two older ones in college; the two youngest do not always get the things that would make their work easier; like online classes and such…this would be a real blessing!!!
Jessica Ham says
My husband lost his job and we have been very tight. He now has a job again, but the $500 would help us replace some of the savings we went through during the 8 months of looking for a job.
Jenn says
This would definitely be a blessing to us because my husband’s car is on it’s way out and this money could go toward replacing it.
Tara Zeller says
How would winning $500 bless my family? For starters my amazing husband works TWO jobs so I can stay at home and homeschool our 3 blessings. In addition to teaching at home I take care of my elderly father (life is never dull). We have been doing this for two years without REST. My hubby is currently saving up all his vacation time to go see his mom in the next 3 months, his step dad is on hospice and is not expected to live much longer (15 yr battle with cancer). The $500 paypal cash would help us buy all our materials for H.S. freeing up our personal cash for a date & maybe even a short camping trip. It would ease the stress we are under greatly. God bless <3
Rebecca says
This would allow us to buy some curriculum we’ve had our eye on. Homeschooling can get expensive; this would help us out at the holidays when we are short on money.
Jess McCarthy says
Wow, there are so many ways we could use that! But, I think the very best way would be to have some fun together as a family. Maybe a weekend away to explore a city the boys have never been to. My MIL died on Thursday from cancer. We haven’t had much of a summer; we spent every spare moment with her helping as much as we could. My boys have not had a lot of joy this summer. I would like to surprise them and my husband. Maybe I should plan something even if we don’t win….I definitely should!
Tiffanie h says
I would be able to buy the rest of the items for our homeschool year
Pam Allcorn says
This is our first year homeschooling and my husband is the pastor of a rural church. Our budget to homeschooling is almost nothing, but we are trusting the Lord to provide. This money would enable us to purchase materials which are not extras.
BTW, great post and thanks for the giveaway.
Dani M. says
My husband and I are in college ministry and our (his) salary is fully fundraised. We’re early in our homeschooling, but I’m trying to build our library and supplies slowly over time, knowing that support-raising can fluctuate a lot year to year.
Taunya says
Winning this would be a blessing because it would cover the extras that always come up in a year that typically get put on the credit card. 🙂
Sybil Brun says
So kind of you to organize this huge giveaway! Winning this giveaway would definitely bless our family in tremendous ways – It would help defray costs of our expensive homeschool year, help pay off medical bills, and help me to start a home based business! Thanks so much for the opportunity!
Kimberly Holder says
We would be blessed to win! I have a 13, 10, and 2 year old and have been homeschooling for 9 years!
Jacqueline says
This would help buy a few last minute schiol thinga and partially pay off our van.
Chantale says
I am a mother of two special needs children. Winning this would be such a blessing because it would help us pay for therapy for our children.
Amy says
Winning would mean being able to have our kids in more activities than we would be able to otherwise.
Amy C says
How wouldn’t it bless? We have a lot of needs, just like all families. 🙂 This $500 would most likely go toward medical bills and extra curricular activities for school. Thanks for offering the giveaway!
Dani Gingerich says
This would be a blessing and help in purchasing curriculum. Blessings 🙂
Kim Chance says
Winning this would help pay for school books and a doctor appointment. What a blessing that would be!
Teresa says
It would be a blessing to my family b/c I am basically a single mom to 3 trying to get out of a bad relationship. We have had no income for 4 out of 5 1/2 years. I would be able to get the rest of out homeschooling items and daily necessities for my sons.
Kelli says
Winning this giveaway would be able to help our family financially in a big way. I am a single parent of 3 little ones, I moved into the basement of my parents home. This will be the first year we are homeschooling. In Jan my dad contracted H1N1 and we spent the next 4 months fighting for his life. He was placed on a medically induced coma and has just been able to go back to work 2 weeks ago. Very limited, as he still has some restrictions. My mom got laid off while she was sitting with my dad in the hospital 6 hours away. My mom and I are collaboratively homeschooling this year, as she is at home. Income is very limited for us, as I work full time and the income for my parents is very small. This would be a financial blessing to our family to help catch up from the months that my dad was in the hospital!
Heather Lian says
I lost my work-at-home job over the summer…we’re basically just homeschooling with any free resources we can get our hands on. We homeschool 5 children…the $500 would allow me to get some much-needed curriculum for my 12 year old with learning disabilities.
D. says
Winning this would bless our family because we have been having a rough few years. My husband hasn’t been able to find full time work since getting out of the military and the only reason we’re getting by is because my mom has been helping us.
Gretta says
We are a full-time missionary family (of 5) who have recently taken a stateside assignment. We still have been not been able to afford this year’s homeschool curriculum (as we live on a budget of $1600 a month right now) so this would allow me to purchase almost everything we need to homeschool our 3 kids again this year!
Jenn @ Treasuring Life's Blessings says
We would splurge on some extras like a laminator!
Stephanie Vandagriff says
Winning this giveaway would really help with homeschooling both of mine. I only HS my oldest right now but would like to bring my other one home as well. I know this would be the encouragement my husband needed to go ahead and do so!
Rochelle says
We would be able to pay for curriculum that’s been on our want list for a while, also books and supplies for our studies, projects, and experiments. It would be a huge huge blessing and much easier than trying to cobble things together that don’t work, but fit our budget.
Peggy Johnson says
This would be a huge blessing to help with medical bills which takes away from school items
April says
Winning this contest would be a huge blessing to my family, as this is our first year homeschooling and are in need of lots of basic things to help our days run more smoothly..we would use this blessing on new school supplies including a good desktop computer for the older kids to use. 🙂
Jeneva says
Winning this giveaway would bless our family in so many ways. My husband is in the process of changing jobs and it has left us with some question marks as far as our finances go. His current job just isn’t able to meet our financial needs. Winning would take care of our immediate home school needs as well as personal needs.
Thomas Murphy says
If I won this it would help me with buying books and supplies.
Mary Moore says
Our family would be extremely blessed to win this contest. My husband and I are self-employed and work has come down to a trickle. We’re starting to get behind on bills and are searching many other avenues of work potential. God is in control and we’re looking to Him for direction.
Heidi says
Money is tight as we figure out how to homeschool our kids on one income. This money would go directly towards curriculum, and it would be such a blessing!
Leandrea says
This giveaway would provide a ton of educational materials for my daughters. We would have so much fun buying new educational items.
steven weber says
Winning this giveaway would be able to pay for our gas when we take a roadtrip this fall.
Tonya says
Our family would be blessed immensely to win this paypal gift! We have 8 children and desperately need help with field trips and daily needs. Please pray for us no matter if we win. I am having major surgery this week and we have huge medical debt. We are trusting God to help us and doing what we are able to do with His strength.
Jessica says
This would be such a blessing for our family. We are super tight with finances right now and winning this would really help our family. Thanks for the giveaway!
Christen says
New to your blog. Exciting giveaway, thanks!
Lynda says
Always trying to find ways to help homeschool our 6 kids. Thank you!!
Summer Young says
Winning this would bless our family by letting us buy (instead of try to get books at the library where most are on hold for months) books for my girl’s home school needs, as well as a good printer to print off materials from online. This is my first attempt at doing this and while my 1st grader is doing good, it’s been difficult due to limited materials along with having 2 little brothers (1 and 2 years old). We’re a single income family, mostly so that I can stay at home and raise/home school our kids as we felt that was what God was calling us to do, especially now that the new common core education system is in place. If I also find really good deals, then I also would be able to afford her a nice cheap little computer for her to use as well.
Tammy Oakes says
This would be a great blessing to our family. I would be able to buy better curriculum and update our “school room” for my family.
Laura H. says
This is a super tight season financially for us so this would bless us tremendously!
Jessica says
Thank you for your generous giveaway! If we win, the money would help us to make our next mortgage payment. We are trying not to lose our house (after my husband’s lengthy unemployment, we are really struggling).
Lari says
This would bless us by adding to our homeschool fund. We use it for curriculum, field trips and fun books too.
Tonya says
Times are hard for many families, I know! Our family would be blessed to fill our freezer with meat for the winter. I need prayers for my necessary surgery this week too please! We have a lot of medical debt from life saving surgeries with my husband and some accidents with our children over the years and finally could use a mini vacation we desperately need! Thanks for the chance to win.
Kim Smith says
Winning $500 would make it possible for me to get my car inspected and repaired so I can take my homeschoolers places again without stress.
Jessica says
Winning the giveaway would bless our family with an extra payment to put on our debt snowball (see Dave Ramsey if you don’t know what I mean) and a couple of organizing containers I’d really like to pick up for our school supplies.
Belinda says
I just wanted to say thanks for the list of resources for busy bags… I will be booking marking these to dig into slowly over the next few months.
Christina Mendoza says
Winning this giveaway would let me invest in more helpful home school materials for our child. I think we need a more formal math program, with manipulatives.
Cecilia says
We could replace our dehydrator with a stainless steel one (to replace the one that is currently held together with duct tape and the trays are barely holding together).;-)
Jenni Carlisle says
This would allow us to stop putting off buying a book or declining a field trip offer throughout the year because our tiny homeschool budget was already used to buy curriculum.
Mindy says
We would buy the curriculum we want!
Tanya Hileman says
We have always homeschooled with no curriculum. Winning this would be a huge blessing, allowing us to purchase Life of Fred, as well as some other books to help us along!
Catherine says
This would be an awesome blessing!! We are first year homeschooler’s and excited to start the new year, lots of options out there and this would be a definite help!
Amy H says
I could afford the extracurriculuars!
Noe Silva says
Winning this contest will help enhance my home school. Teaching 5 little ones from preschool to 4th grade on a budget is difficult. It would be nice to have better tools to work with to make learning a little easier.
Kristin C says
I quit my job as a teacher to be able to stay home with my kids this year. I’ve been trying to find a part-time job online so that I can stay with them all day, but so far I’ve come up empty. Because of that, most of our savings is non-existent. $500 would help pay some bills, but I think it would go even better for Christmas this year.
Amy Mackie says
I homeschool my 4 kids. We are currently with out a home and living with relatives. All of our resources are going to trying to find a home so the money would help buy much needed curriculum! Thanks!
Kristin Odell says
This would be a blessing to our family because my husband has recently lost his job and is working at a fast food restaurant to support our family and earn his masters degree. I am a stay at home homeschooling mom, so this is our only income. I would use the money to pay for our curriculum which I have not been able to purchase yet. We start September 2 and I have no materials yet, but I am believing in faith that on September 2 our kids will be sitting at their desks with their books, ready to learn! Thanks for the opportunity!
Tania says
This would be so helpful because there are organizing things and extra curriculum that I hold off on every year because I’m trying not to spend almost anything. It would be great to be able to order the reading books I need and also set up our school/dining area to be functional and easy to look at 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win!
Abi Craig says
Found this on Thank Goodness Its Monday. Thanks for such a great resource for busy bag ideas!
Tezra says
Was just sitting and trying to add up enough money to get the last of our curriculum. It’s a tough time financially and rubbing our two pennies together isn’t going to pay for our curriculum :(. This would be a huge blessing!
Alice Ross says
It would be a blessing to help with curriculum. My son is starting high school work and it is much more expensive than I had anticipated for curriculum and classes at this level. I always have a long wish list with 3 kiddos in different grades & with different learning styles.
Sharon says
This would be a huge blessing. I would use it for curriculum and gifts for birthdays/Christmas.
Sarah says
Winning this would greatly help our family of 5!! My husband lost his job in May right after we moved into a new house just as we were finally catching – up on bills. He just got a new job but it only makes half of what he did before and we have fallen behind on everything. We are on assistance now and I pray for a miracle everyday 🙂
Amy @ Wildflower Ramblings says

Amy Haron says
We have always done just fine until this last year. We lost our home due to a natural disaster. My oldest is having an awful time both physically and emotionally. I suffered a a massive injury in the flood that distorted our home. Insurance was not going to cover all of the damage and we were forced into chapter 7 bankruptcy. We lost almost everything. This year is almost a complete do-over. It is also the only time I am accepting help instead of giving it. I do pay for most of my curriculum through Paypal so this would indeed be a welcome blessing. Even if I don’t win, God has continued to provide and I know that He will indeed provide what I need this time as well. When everything is truly gone, it is indeed God who is there holding you. Faith ladies, I can attest this is true. Blessings!
Jessie Hansen says
How would it NOT? Oh my, we are struggling with our new house payment and electric bills and then we jumped into homeschooling and now we have even more bills and expenses. This would really allow me to open up and experience schooling like I think it really should be.

Mary S. says
Oh my! I am thinking of all the fun homeschool rescourses I could get with $500. Not only would it go towards curriculum but we could also get some of the “extra fun stuff”, like hands on science experiments and books. What fun! Thanks for the great giveway. I am sure that whoever wins will be very blessed! : )

Ashlie Hogan says
Winning this would be huge for our family of 6. I recently had our 4th child, and I’m staying at home and homeschooling our 4 kids, after having been a 5th grade teacher. The extra cash could help us buy homeschool supplies and help our family tremendously. 🙂

Jennifer Clark says
This would help us tremendously with the cost of curriculum. Thank you for the giveaway!
Becky lynn says
This would bless our family because we could use it for the little stuff that adds up, but also use it to help another homeschool family in our little coop that is tight on money, to be able to afford to continue on.
Kayla says
This would mean an amazing jump start on my little girls robotics interest. She and her daddy are planning to build a drone as soon as we can afford it! She’s 7!
AmieJo says
This is a great list! I am going to have to make some of these. They are so needed in my house. Thank you for putting them all together in one place.

Andrea Kelly says
I would be able to buy them supplies and more books.

Darla Knight says
My family would be blessed by this because my children would have a good start on finding the books and tools that will help them learn best. In this economy it is hard with 4 children and God decided to bless us with a 5th this year. Every penny counts when I am home teaching my children what the public schools obviously could not.
Laura says
It would be such a blessing! There’s so many things we could use it for, but most likely we’d be filling our freezer with tons of food! Kids got to eat!!
Lora Gray says
This is our first year in 5 years homeschooling. Hoping to get the supplies to enhance the learning and teaching experience!
Megan says
Right when I sat down this year to plan out three of my four little ones curriculum, my husband got a call that he got the promotion he had applied for. Which meant we had a few short weeks to come up with the money to move our family from California to Idaho. And this also meant, my curriculum plans were put on hold. This would be such a BLESSING for our family right now and help tremendously on our upcoming school year with things being so tight from our upcoming moving expenses!
Kristen says

This blessing would help our family in immeasurable ways. It is always hard to tell my children that they cannot get certain book or supplies or participate in a homeschool field trip because it isn’t in our budget. They always take the news graciously but it would be wonderful to be able to say “yes” once in awhile. Thank you.
Rachel Adams says
Thanks for doing this. I know it will help a lot of parents that are struggling like us. It’s very hard to homeschool on getting paid from the va once a month and then having to pay bills and everything else.
Elizabeth L. says
Winning this giveaway would be a blessing because it would allow us to purchase the last bit of supplies we need for our first year of homeschooling! Having lost my full time job this spring, it opened the door for me to homeschool, but means we are now down to one income. I’ve been purchasing curriculum used when I can. Receiving $500 would help tremendously in purchasing the things we need, but haven’t been able to buy yet. Thanks so much for this opportunity!!
Emily says
My husband is currently between jobs, so this would be a huge blessing to our family!

Lori Martinez says
This would be such a blessing in so many ways. With one income, too many bills, and not being able to go to the doctor for my back/neck problems, this would help me buy curriculum I otherwise can’t afford. This will be tough but it can and will be done! FAITH, Love, God.
Lindsey Woolard says

It would be a blessing for my church, for my car to get fixed and for us to get the much needed school supplies we desperately need for us to use here at home. My husband is the only one footing the bills and we are struggling to feed our family and stay afloat without getting on welfare. Trusting God will provide our needs, wherever it may come from. God bless you for your generosity!

Elizabeth says
This would be a huge blessing. I am a stay at home mom to 2 kids. My husband doesn’t make as much as we would like. Just starting out we could definitely use this for our family.
Judy (Saffron) says
It will help me homeschool 4 grandkids. 3 of them are struggling emotionally from abuse.
Erica says
This would be a blessing because it would be a way in which the Lord would meet our needs for this school year. It would also allow us to add some activities in that we could use for hands-on learning.
Jennifer says
Winning this will bless our family with resources we are in extreme need of. My youngest is 3 months and spent 3 weeks in the NICU and another few weeks with intensive home care. During this time, we had absolutely no income and we are so far behind that right now, we have to make what is in the pantry last for 8 more days before we even get a paycheck. I am selling off things I see around the house just to put gas in the car so my husband can get to work. Right this moment is probably the hardest we’ve ever been hit financially, and while we are so overjoyed and blessed that our littlest is home and getting healthier by the day, we are still struggling with the unanticipated financial burden.
Jeanne says
Winning will bless our family and our extended family. Our family home schools on just one income (and a youth minister’s one at that!) and we share our homeschool resources, curriculum and other things with my sister in-law and her kids. They’ll be leaving as missionaries next year to India and she can use all the help she can get. They rely on donations to their missions work to supply their family and that included homeschooling their three (soon to be four!) kids. So we do what we can to help out and bless them too!
Deirdre says
This has been a hard year for us financially and otherwise. Winning would help in paying the bills and lifting some of the burden!
Christina says
I can see a lot of people in need. I have been fortunate my mother could help this year as we lost income. We have also been supporting the financial needs for my niece and nephew’s education, which has been tough. It is worth what we give up, though.
Melissa says
Winning would be a huge blessing for us. We’ve had a lot of expenses this year and surviving on one income is tough. This could help us to get a new computer I desperately need for homeschooling.
Kathy Gossen says
Clothes. Our income is lesson than in years past and this is one area that has got the shaft. Winning would be a great joy lifter and confidence builder for each of us for sure.
Nicole says
Books. Books. And maybe some more books. Can you tell I’m a homeschooler?
Stacy Karpowicz says
This would be a blessing because I am on permanent Disability, and have a very fixed income. 🙂
Sara @ Embracing Destiny says
This would bless us because we can’t afford to buy the new curriculum we need. Now that my daughter is middle school age, it’s becoming more and more important to have the formal studies that she needs. We’ve gone through a lot of financial and health hardships over the past few years. Thank you!
Victoria says
This would be awesome to purchase some organizing tools and furniture for our homeschooling room.
Tasha says

Our learning toys. At 4 & 5 I

Deborah says
How would it bless our family? WOW. I recently became unemployed, so it would definitely enable us to get new curriculum for the oldest (that we recycle down the line). Also our printer just broke (great timing, eh?), so we could replace that.
This sounds like a wonderful giveaway. Good luck to everyone!
Deborah

As a single income military family this would be a huge blessing! I would love to be able to get some things to better organize our homeschool space/dining room.

I am a brand new homeschooling Mom on an already very tight budget. Our community fees alone are overwhelming and then the additional cost of all of the individual curriculum is anxiety-inducing! This would be such a blessing to alleviate those costs!
AmandaZ says
Winning would be a huge blessing as we obviously live off of one salary, but a ministry salary at that 🙂 Thanks for the blog on busy bags, fun ideas!

If I were to win the $500, it would help my family by being able to complete car repairs I currently need! Best of luck to everybody!
